Biofield

The biofield is comprised of energy that exists within and around living organisms. The energy comprising the biofield exists in many forms, including electrical, electromagnetic, geomagnetic and heat, to name a few.

Ancient indigenous cultures knew the biofield existed, and they referred to it in a variety of different terms and symbols. The ancients used their knowledge of the biofield for a variety of purposes even though they did not scientifically yet know what it was made of or how it functioned.

An excellent example of this is the ancient word and concept of “Chi” or “Qi”. The Chinese symbol for Chi depicts steam rising from a bowl of rice. This steam represented the “biofield” of “life energy” that was offered to humans by the universe for their benefit and well-being.

Modern science has since discovered much about Chi, and to my knowledge none of these discoveries have contradicted the ancient fundamental truths expressed in this ancient symbol.

Another example is the ancient iconic symbol of Yin-Yang.

The ancients understood that there exist two interconnected and harmonic forces in the universe, even though they were not yet able to describe them in terms of modern physics and biology.

Today, scientists refer to “polarity”, “wave functions”, and “quantum spin” to describe these very same forces at work in our universe and in our individual bodies and minds.

To be sure there are many more ancient symbols depicting the energy of the universe and the biofield in particular. These symbols span every continent, and their indigenous origins are many thousands of years old.

Fortunately we live in an era when the wisdom of the ancients and the discoveries of science are merging into an integrated understanding of the human biofield.

Following is an image from a 2023 scientific publication >> using quantum thermography to study subatomic phenomena. How interesting that many of the symbols used by modern science to describe energy and the biofield are similar to these ancient symbols.

For the past 25 years I have been conducting research on various aspects of the biofield. My goal has been–and remains–to combine the ancient wisdom of the biofield and the discoveries of modern science to better understand the biofield for the benefit of others and for our world.

We now know that the human biofield is comprised of many “sub-biofields”–quantum, molecular and biochemical energy fields that exist within and beyond our bodies.

The presence of the biofield may be observed and measured, which means it may be analyzed. This analysis allows us to correlate our unique biofields with a spectrum of conditions and symptoms, ranging from anxiety and stress to inflammation and energy.

The goal of Marin Biofield is to continue the research of the human biofield, and to explore applications of our knowledge to health and wellness.
