Glossary
Biofield
The Biofield is the field of energy in-and-around all living beings. In the context of Marin Biofield, our focus is on the human biofield, including the sub-fields of the cells, brain, heart, hands and whole body.
Bio-Impedance Analysis (BIA)
BIA is a well-established test for a variety of parameters concerning body composition, cellular energy, metabolic rate and hydration. The BIA is used to measure the cellular biofield at two levels: Total Cellular Biofield Energy and Cellular Transactional Energy.
Brain Biofield Coherence
Brain Biofield Coherence is a measure of the major categories of brainwaves, including the extent to which these frequencies are "coherent" or "resonant".
Cellular Biofield Total Energy ("Reactance")
Reactance is a measure of the total energy in the cellular biofield.
Cellular Biofield Transactional Energy ("Capacitance")
Capacitance is a measure of the efficiency with which the cellular biofield transmits and receives energy.
Heart/Brain Biofield
The Heart/Brain Biofield is a measure of the overall coherence (resonance) of the Autonomic Nervous System.
Heart/Brain Coherence
Heart/Brain Coherence is the "optimal state" of the Heart/Brain biofield, during which signals sent between the heart and brain are balanced and "in sync". Such coherence is displayed as a classic sine wave using the HeartMath system.
